Trying to keep sane.

Been working the entire weekend, and somehow I feel that every weekend up until Christmas is going to be like this.
Just got so much on. Even to the point of maybe having to slash one of the fencing trainings… :( Just up until Xmas. Darned deadlines.

Anyway. Here’s a marker sketch I did while waiting for my popup to dry.

When being female keeps you from doing certain things at a certain time..

… just grab your sketchbook and sketch it!

Following sketches are of the latest Historical fencing training.

Sometimes I amaze myself.

Yesterday I managed to stab my eye with my toothbrush whilst attempting to brush my teeth. I got a nice layer of toothpaste covering my eyeball.
Still feels a bit fuzzy today.

Dylan Moran ftw.

The man eats chocolate and drinks red wine on stage.
What a legend. :D
I had a *great* time!

Must go for more comedy shows in the future.

Now, back to a massive cold sore, a backlog of work, upcoming period pains and a growling tummy.

Remember me raving on about this guy?

A few months ago (or so) I was rambling on about hot comedians, Dylan Moran (character from the series Black Books) was one of them.

As it turns out, I will go watch him live tomorrow evening! I have never been on a live comedy show before, so I have no idea what to expect. Can’t wait though!

CONGRATULATIONS TO TOM. :D

Today was Tom’s last day at work. Many hugs and good luck with your projects hun. I shall support you all the way. <3

Itchy feet.

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

A bit strange. Yesterday I went to my second European sword fighting class, which left me ever so slightly trashed (in a good way of course!). This morning, I woke up at 11:30, feeling so stressed I had to keep my phone off and hide under my blanket. I briefly got up to let the birds out, then went back to bed. The doorbell rang, but I didn’t get up to answer it.

Finally at some point after 12(?), I got up and had a coffee and watched telly. Turned my phone on and got texts from people asking me where I was. There’s a workshop on today, but I missed it.

Have had some breakfast now and feeling lots better, but probably won’t leave the house today… :)

What I have noticed though, is that my feet are feeling terribly itchy. I think it must have been after watching Stephen Fry In America (a show on telly about visiting all the states). I just wanted to travel. I think the pressure of Uni is making me want to pack my bags and travel around for a while.

Guitar Hero 3. Marry me.

Not a single day free, but still manage to squeeze in a long sword or two!

Yes, the tutors said the 2nd year was going to be more intense than the first year. Bloodeh hell. I didn’t quite expect this though. Everyday is an early start and a late finish. Social life has to happen while working, or very late in the evening if I have any energy left. Juggling so many different things at once that I have to follow a strict time table, or stuff will get lost.

On top of that I’ve had a cold for over a week. Not a proper deathly evil cold of doom, but just this little nagging annoying one that gives you a cough, makes you snotty, gives you a liddle headache and prevents you from getting out of bed in the morning. I’ve also transferred it to Tom. Poor boy.

Something new has been added to the big cake mix that is my life!
Medieval Sword Fighting. European (mainly german and italian atm) style. I went for my first class on Wednesday with Rich and Phil. Even though I thought I would prefer small dinky little swords (getting close up is what I like), I actually slightly fell for the german long sword. Long two hander. Very cool. :O

Me and Phil will return on Monday and then Wednesday again. All of this depending on if I have deadlines or other sheit on, of course.

If only this cold would go away so I could get back to my 100% capacity, everything would be a breeze.
Just that little bit extra effort with everything at the moment that’s making me a bit whiny.

Oh well, hopefully a few Brazilian cocktails will fix that.

Sketches.
