Still waiting for Italy Photos, but until then, have a peek at this!

Friday, March 28th, 2008

I’m working at home on my book project for University. It’s sometimes quite hard when you have this blue blob on your narrative!

“Give me attention!”

Ooo! Pen! Chester loves mechanical pencils!

… To the point of wanting to eat them and thus disrupting my work. He gets so excited I have to remove him to be able to draw at all!

Anyway. Here’s a little sneak peak of my project.

Back to work!

Back from Italy!

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

I will write things, but I am currently waiting for all the photos from the trip. We put them on Alex’s computer when the memory card got too full. So hopefully tomorrow or something!

Today I need to start the huge task of getting back into Bristol life.

Off to Italy!

Monday, March 17th, 2008

I haven’t been able to properly blog for a while due to life being very busy. I have a project which requires lots of attention and I’m also trying to earn money for myself. Been to a nice dinnerparty amongst other things.

And now it’s time to go to Italy! I am really enjoying life right now. It is full of goodies. Of course there are worries. For example the fact that I still have not got the English funding paid into my account. Admin is not really the English strong side. :P We are also looking for possible houses so buy, and I am thus faced with the reality that I have to start earning my own money. Either I will get a part time job, or I attempt to earn more money from Illustration.

Lots to think about– Having trouble typing right now because of Chester sitting on my keyboard, chasing my fingers :P He’s going into puberty right now, so he’s really hormonal and… well.. sex crazy.

Anyway! I am bringing a camera to Italy,so hopefully we will have nice pictures when we come back!

Ciao!

A surprise!

Whee!

I got a 2.1 on my essay! I can’t believe it. I thought I was going to fail or get a very low grade because of my way of answering the Essay question. (A 2.1 is equal to VG in Sweden)

Major Storm Warning here.

Monday, March 10th, 2008

What is being described as the worst storm this winter will hit the west coast tomorrow. My area is predicted to be in the danger zone which is divided into five colours of strength, red being the worst hit area, orange: the next worst, yellow: the one after etc. Bristol is in the borderline of Red and Orange, so tomorrow will be an interesting day. Wish me luck. :P

A new frontier!

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

Long story short because I haven’t got the time to write.

I might be able to exhibit my work at a popular pub in Clifton where it would be for sale as well! For this I need to actually finish some pieces and stuff… So it would be a little while. But it’s a start!

I’m excited :D

Chester is just so amazing.

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Best. Christmas gift. Ever.

Chester is completely hand tame and can fly around the house while we are around. He can now also navigate around the two rooms and hallway which he showed clearly the other day when I had him out in the bedroom and went over to the livingroom to talk to Tom. Chester was chirping like mad when I left and within a few moments he came flying through the house, did a loop in the livingroom and then landed on my shoulder.

It is obvious that this bird is highly social. Mainly because he hasn’t got a bird-friend yet (will be getting one when I come home from Italy). Whenever I do my work, he needs to chase my pencil over my sketchbooks or peck at my keyboard. There is just so much more LIFE around the house with him around. Before Chester, I would arrive at a dead quiet flat with noone to greet me. Now I have a mad shrieking bird! Hooray! Even Tom likes him. And he likes Tom. A lot. :D

Anyway! I have to get ready to go to IKEA with a bunch of Illustration friends. Frank has a car and will be driving us there. Woopee! Have to hold back a bit though. I tend to get a bit… obsessive with… storage… …

baskets… boxes… JARS…

No mobile!

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Quick note to say that I’ve lost my charger for my mobile somewhere in the house, so I can’t recharge it! Thus, Jen has no mobile until further notice! :(

In other news. Busy with Narrative and Sequence project. Tomorrow there will be a trip to IKEA. I’m making a rather different type of book. Hopefully it will work.

This weekend I will hold a small private bookbinding workshop with a few friends. :D Jen goes teacher!

Went unicycling yesterday!

I can now do three pedals (if that’s how you say it) completely on my own before I fall over :P

With someone by my side, I can pedal for ages. Soon I shall be doing it on my own accord tho!
